Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) The Executive Director must, by written notice, seek the advice of the Gene Technology Regulator if the application relates to an industrial chemical that is a GM product or contains a GM product.
(2) The Gene Technology Regulator may provide a response to the Executive Director.
(3) The response must be given within the period specified in the notice, which must not be less than 20 working days after the day the notice is given.
