MARITIME TRANSPORT AND OFFSHORE FACILITIES SECURITY ACT 2003 - SECT 136

  (1)   The Secretary may appoint:

  (a)   an APS employee in the Department; or

  (b)   a law enforcement officer; or

  (c)   a person who satisfies the criteria prescribed in the regulations;

to be a maritime security inspector.

  (2)   The appointment must be in writing.
