A person commits an offence if:
(a) the person gives evidence to another person; and
(b) the person does so knowing that the evidence is false or misleading in a material particular; and
(c) the evidence is given in compliance or purported compliance with a notice under subsection 269(1).
Note: The same conduct may be an offence against both this section and section 137.1 or 137.2 of the Criminal Code .
Penalty: Imprisonment for 12 months.
