Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) Subject to subsection (2), if an exploration licence holder applies for an extension under section 96, the Joint Authority:
(a) may grant an extension of the licence; or
(b) may refuse to grant an extension of the licence.
(2) The extension must not be for a period that is longer than the period of the suspension or exemption.
(3) The extension may be granted subject to whatever conditions the Joint Authority thinks appropriate.
