(a) The Customs Tariff (Coal Export Duty) Act 1975 provides as follows:

 2. This Act shall be deemed to have come into operation at the hour of 8 o'clock in the evening by standard time in the Australian Capital Territory on 19 August 1975.

(b) By virtue of subsection 2(7) of the Administrative Changes (Consequential Provisions) Act 1976 the amendments made by that Act to the Postal and Telecommunications Commissions (Transitional Provisions) Act 1975 are deemed to have come into operation on 22 December 1975.
