ROAD TRANSPORT (SAFETY AND TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) REGULATIONS 2000 (2000 NO 10) - REG 51

(1)      If the road transport authority decides that the use of a ticket parking area, or ticket parking space, should be temporarily discontinued, the authority may close the area or space by—

        (a)     for the closure of a ticket parking area—installing a sign, at or near each traffic sign applying to the area, that displays words to the effect that the area is closed; or

        (b)     for the closure of a ticket parking space—installing a sign, at or near the space, that displays words to that effect.

(2)      A driver must not park in a ticket parking area or ticket parking space that has been closed under subregulation (1).

Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
