ROAD TRANSPORT (SAFETY AND TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) REGULATIONS 2000 (2000 NO 10) - REG 76

(1)      The road transport authority may establish and operate a ticket parking scheme for any length of road or area.

(2)      For a ticket parking scheme, the road transport authority—

        (a)     may set aside a length of road or area as a ticket parking area; and

        (b)     may adopt the ways of, and schemes for, payment of the fees the authority considers appropriate; and

        (c)     may install devices for payment of the fees (a pay parking device ).
