ROAD TRANSPORT (SAFETY AND TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) REGULATIONS 2000 (2000 NO 10) - REG 59
Carriage of dangerous goods (NSW cl 59, MTA s 133B)
(1) A person must not drive or park a vehicle that is carrying
an explosive substance in, directly above, or within 50m of either end of, a
major road tunnel.
Maximum penalty: 30 penalty units.
(2) In this regulation—
"dangerous goods" means any
substance or article prescribed as dangerous goods for the
" Dangerous Goods Act 1975".
explosives substance means any dangerous goods
prescribed as an explosive for the Dangerous Goods Act 1975 , and includes
any other dangerous goods that can
explode.
"major road tunnel" means— (a)
the road tunnel on Parkes Way in the Division of Acton, Canberra
Central District; or
(b) the road
tunnel on Capital Circle in the Division of Capital Hill, Canberra Central
District.
